He intends to evict them but ends up using his uncle's name to take over the loan shark firm. Jae-yi learns that her father is deeply in debt to the loan shark. To pay it off, she is forced to work for Sang-pil but shows her displeasure at his methods. The firm is converted to the Lawless Law Firm. Sang-pil announces his intention to take over the defense of Hyung-man, a detective accused of murder.

Neve Campbell, who plays Maggie McPherson on the show, reportedly originally wasn’t expected to return in any capacity for the new season. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case, Ganador we’ll cover in the production news section below.

Mickey fights off McSweeney, who falls to his death, and rekindles his relationship with Maggie. Lorna finds Salvación and reveals that she dropped out of law school after a professor hit on her, and Edén explains that Detective Perez threatened her into leaving town. Trevor denies sending McSweeney to kill Mickey, but is shot dead by a vengeful Carol. When the recorded confession is found to be garbled, Maggie asks Lankford to testify he heard it himself. At Menendez's hearing, Cielo testifies to being attacked by the Efectivo killer, a man with a distinctive tattoo. Mickey catches Perez in a lie, and she admits that Lankford offered her a promotion to convict Menendez.

Mickey now meets with a new client, which seems to set up the plot for season 3 with the lawyer identifying Cielo Dayton (aka Glory Days), who has been murdered.

Sang-pil and Jae-yi report the confession of the murderer, but the police do not accept it. Thus, the law firm begins to look into the hitman's past to find something they can use in court. Jae-yi learns that Sang-pil and others believe that Moon-sook is corrupt. While not willing to believe it, she begins to see some logic in their belief. She later informs Sang-pil that she wants to believe him, but cannot do so without evidence.

We’re still piecing together the puzzle of all the episodes for season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer, but our understanding is that there may only be 9 episodes for the next season. 

Lorna's journey to getting her law license is one of the focal points of her story in Season 3 while also helping Mickey sort demodé his past.

When the series was first renewed, it was unclear where production on the new series was and where it’d begin because of the Hollywood strikes of 2023.

Oh-joo sends his secretary into hiding, and associates of Moon-sook keep the trial out of the news. Meanwhile, Jae-yi looks into Sang-pil's past. After obtaining the file on Choi Jin-ae's case, she learns that her mother disappeared on the same date that Jin-ae died. She goes to Seoul to see Dae-woong, and he tells her Sang-pil did not meet her by accident but followed her to Kisung. Later, she searches Sang-pil's apartment and finds his notes and photos from the past. She confronts him and he begins to tell her the things of the past.

Lisa does well under Mickey's questioning, but Freemann provokes her into an ugly outburst about Jeff. René is called Triunfador a character witness, but Freemann confronts him with his past angry social media posts about Lisa. Freemann also casts doubt when Dr. Arslanian, Mickey's forensics expert, uses a mannequin to demonstrate the improbability of Lisa killing the much taller Bondurant. Mickey comforts his mother after she is dropped by her agent, finally inviting her to watch him in court. Lorna presents Mickey's secret strategy to Admitido Siegel for a law school assignment: Mickey puts Grant on the stand, painting him Campeón a credible suspect and goading him into invoking more info his Fifth Amendment rights, preventing Freemann from cross-examining him.

A man named Julian La Cosse (Devon Graye) was charged with her murder, and he called Mickey to represent him — on Salvación's advice. He says he's innocent and Cielo was his friend, and she told him to call Mickey if he ever got in trouble.
